The last day of my short holiday, I want to use it well so decide to walk the Mt Grey loop track, the first part is just through forest like this
Sometimes you get a bit of a clear view of the sky
Until you get to about here, maybe 45 minutes from the top, which is also as far as Rachel and I got here a little while back
But this time I continue, all the way to the top, which I assumed to be where that antenna is
But that’s not the case, it’s a little further and higher, perfect timing to reach the summit as the sun is finally coming out now
Another summit conquered!
So I came via the Mt Grey Track but complete the loop by returning via the Red Beech Track
Tell me something I don’t know…
Red Beech Track, the track goes on and on and on through that green covered forest
And it’s actually nippy here, my breath condenses and the track is slippery in places, still an awesome track
Many Rivers too Cross… nah, just this one, the Grey River
Some old hut near the end of the 5.5 hour long track, I definitely feel my legs after all that walking recently, time to go home and soak in the pool!!
Map and height profile of today’s hike (14.2 km)
Nice
