After my disheartening experience with elephants and monkeys from a few days ago I decided to book a proper elephant experience that got good reviews and looked after their elephants. I found that in Phuket Elephant Care. Here the host is telling us customers (me and two German girls) about elephants and we also get to hear all the standard jokes that she undoubtedly tells again every single day, must be tiring!
Anyway, we start with feeding the elephants, there are 3 of them
Sooooo cute! But the elephant looks nice as well.
Awww
High five!
Deep thoughts are being exchanged
That’s some loooong eyelashes
The German girls, clearly trying to mimick my cuteness
A video of the elephants getting fed
A video of the elephant getting scrubbed and washed
One of the German girls took his photo of me in a burst shoot. Cool!
They’re still hungry. What a great life these elephants have. Every day some fresh humans that come to feed you, scrub you, wash you, bath with you and pay you for it!
And when they’ve been fed and washed it’s play time!
Here they are just swinging away, they seem very relaxed and happy
This place, and this was very surprising, is just off a busy road close to Phuket City, I had difficulty believing Google Maps when it directed me to this place this morning. Anyway, it was a very nice experience, they even wave you goobye. Would definitely recommend this place
Later that day whil enjoying the beach it went from sunny to raining cats and dogs within 20 minutes or so, I left right after taking this video and by the time I reached my hotel 5 minutes later (by scooter) I was absolutely soaking wet
In the evening I try a small restaurant not far from my hotel, unfortunately they have a TV going which I always find extremely distracting, so I won’t be here for long
Just long enough to eat my curry and rather bland chicken breast with huuuge serving of fries

It was. They should be able to walk freely and not have people riding on their back. Though a small woman or a dog should be fine I guess: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR0BlQzbOUk
