Ryde Falls

The day started out blue, grey skies were predicted but I didn’t really see that happening, so we decided to first go to the View Hill car park, of course by the time we got there the sky was all grey

We are walking towards a waterfall, the track is wet, hopefully it will stain dry

It’s good to walk in a forest again, doesn’t happen all that often

Rachel forgot to bring her long trousers (even though I reminded her before we left) so she has to face the cold (southerly today) in the shorts she was wearing

Lovely ferns

Not sure if it’s curling down or uncurling up

Whilst taking this photo it started to rain

And we still have quite a bit to go

We’re are the Ryde Falls!

I was expecting something meh but this waterfall is actually pretty decent

Rachel wanted to climb down here and have a swim in the water but I thought it was too dangerous with those slippery rocks leading down…

…and if you fall you fall down another waterfall

So we just took photos

But in summer (seems long ago now) this must be really nice to cool off

I should have been here 2 months ago, would have been nice for a soak

Jumping streams, after this the rain became too heavy to make any more photos and we arrived and the car thoroughly soaked. Still a good day!
