My very first ‘Hike and Fly’: walk up, fly down! We’re flying from Mt Guy, which is quite a walk up

The views are awesome with all that snow on the mountains

Take a right here and it’s straight up Mt Guy

A good way up the mountain now, Lake Clearwater on the left

A well deserved rest, luckily the sun’s out

Lake Emma, I’ve hiked around that lake too, nice there

Nearly at the top now, it’s tough going in that snow and my boots are soaking wet

On the summit! What a view! What a day!

There’s not much wind, there’s debate on what part to take off from: here or over there

I didn’t bring a GoPro so I don’t have footage of the actual flight (stupid, I know) but here’s a photo of someone else coming in for landing shortly after I landed myself, back at Lake Clearwater

We wait around a bit until about everyone has landed

The windsock and the end of a nice day. Good exercise and nice flight. I should do more Hike and Fly!
