St James Conservation Area – Day 2 – Maling Pass

We wake up to a beautiful day!

This is why I ordered a Jungle Green Jimny, it’s hard to spot in nature

We decide to go for a walk, south, following the Moki Track

Looking north-west towards Glacier Gully and Mt Una of the Spenser Mountains

The view south

Enjoying the view

Spenser Mountains in the distance again

Cooling off in the Waiau Uwha river

I know, it’s a silly hat

The St James Cycle Trail, heading back towards Maling Pass

The view towards Maling Pass

Once more looking back where we came from

Going east now

View north

The bridge for the cyclists, I had to cross the river

Lake Tennyson, last time I was here was 7 years ago, with Glynn

St James Range

Wairau Hanmer Springs Hydro Road, past Island Saddle going north-east

Stafford Ridge

Somewhere along the Clarence River just off the Tophouse Road

The view back north

A litle video of today
